Claire is a solicitor in the Toowoomba office of Bouchier Khan Lawyers. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of New England, and was admitted as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland in September 2011.
In 1999 Claire commenced work in the area of family law, and worked in this field throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory until her move to Toowoomba in 2006. Since 2006 Claire has worked almost exclusively in the area of criminal law, completing her degree part time while working full time at a local Toowoomba law firm, and subsequently at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Claire joined the firm in August 2011. Claire appears almost daily in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on a range of matters from work licence applications to serious drug trafficking, and appears regularly in the District and Supreme Courts in South West Queensland and the Darling Downs.
